The whole EU debate has been hi-jacked by the right with claims that it is leftie lawyers and a Remain conspiracy to thwart the benefits of Brexit. Hosety is absent, there are few if any benefits of Brexit (maybe the sidelining of Farage?). Fears of facing up to this obvious fact seems to be paralysing all in Westminster. I am not advocating rejoin here – would the EU want us back? But an adult conversation about what to do about. the fix we have got ourselves in would be good – at present we are up the creek without a paddle.
