The widespread bullshit spread by the billionaire owned news outlets and discredited politicians is that we should open up North Sea oil wells and get fracking! All complete nonsense – North Sea oil is sold at international prices despite the huge subsidies handed out by the government; electricity costs in the UK are fixed to the price of gas – way above the cost of renewable energy. The way to break this stranglehold of the fossil fuel lobby is to invest in more renewables and battery storage. In that way we would no longer be dependant on world events and disruptions – those who craved independance from the EU should be salivating at the prospect of an UK free from international dominance. But no the craven liars like Farage are scared that the dominence of the Petro giants will be diminished along with their wealth. So you suckers who vote tory and reform are voting for a society where hard work is penalised and wealth is a privilege afforded to those who were lucky by birth in most cases.
A quick look at Norway shows that they do not use their gas -they export 99% of it and have low electricity prices based on renewable energy. Formula One has introduced new fuel rules, and while, with any change, there aare problems to be ironed out, their innovation and technology may provide some answers for greater efficiency in the future.
