New trade deals have not happened – 90+% are just Xerox the EU one. Sovereignty is now concentrated in Westminster with no more democracy than a soviet gulag. Northern Ireland is gradually creeping towards a union with Ireland as the UK consistently abrogates responsibility for the deal it signed with the EU. I really hope the troubles do not reappear in our headlines, but would not put 20p on it!
The immigration ban which was a key part, if not THE key part of the Brexit vote has turned up a whole number of predictable demographic certainties – more people retiring + fewer young people – migrants banned = staff shortages. But Johnson says this is good as wages will go up – but fails to mention rising heating costs, petrol cost, food costs – but he is ok as he is in Spain!
Covid has not helped, but the mess is getting messier – the man is a prat! And Brexit a failure.
