Kwasi Kwarteng and Rishi Sunak head to head with Johnson siding with Kwasi – Rishi is much too much of a threat! I don’t much care who wins – Sunak will introduce austerity again whilst Kwarteng is a nasty capitalist to the core. He believes we retire too early, work less hours than we should and have low productivity. I am surprised he is not advocating sweat shops and child labour.

COP26

Setting an example would be good! So ban internal flights ing the UK where a train journey of less than 5 hours is available – maybe the government should charter a train to get their entourage to Glasgow in November.

HORRID SOCIETY

What sort of moron sets fire to someones car because they disagree with them? If caught they should certainly be jailed. There are many people I disagree with, sometimes passionately, but would respect their right to disagree. I hope Chris Packham remains steadfast and strong in his beliefs.

Johnson states that there is no need to make misogyny a hate crime as all the laws needed are there. So why then does Priti Patel announce a new emergency number proposed by BT and then adopted as her idea? Is she saying that dialling 999 will put a woman in distress in contact with a misogynistic male police officer? Perhaps we need separate numbers for racist attacks and homophobic attacks.

LIVING WITH THE VIRUS

Government policy seems to promote this. 500+ deaths a week, 3 million cases since 1st June, thousands in hospital. But all this is now ignored as the government has passed responsibility to the people on this, and everything else that is problematic.

KIALO

A new toy to play with. I think it could be brilliant in schools at 6th form level. My first attempt is here. https://www.kialo.com/lawns-are-an-environmental-disaster-53664?path=53664.0~53664.3&active=~53664.3

COVID OCTOBER

Still do not understand what is going on. Yesterday 122 deaths from Covid, 6817 people in hospital with it. Over 40000 new cases. To my mind that is reasons for a bit of panic? But no – nothing from government – it is like they have accepted the 1460 road deaths in 2020 and now expect us to accept 30.000 deaths a year from Covid?

Or are the deaths reported not solely down to Covid, can someone please explain?
