COVID

Yes he is completely correct in stating that hospital cases and deaths have gone down. Is there a but coming? I am not sure. It would be great to just look forward to a future much like the past, but I fear it is not that simple. Even Alexander Johnson is cutting down on his hyperbole. As far as I understand it, the vaccine does not prevent the disease, just the most harmful effects. I guess it must reduce the spread of the virus (but I am not sure about that?).

But should we allow sports matches and music events? We know for sure that these will spread the virus – the question I suppose is “Does it matter?” if 20-50 year olds get it?

Here we need the science to come in. The virus seems pretty adapt at making new variants and the more people without the vaccine, will mean more variants.

Why would anyone want/need to go abroad for a holiday this year? It makes no sense apart from visiting family members and friends.
