Not all have gone down, and I am using 5 November as a bench mark as that was the start of the second lockdown. Only Manchester, Swansea and Cardiff are marginally below the date of the second lockdown, marked with **

So whilst we can see this lockdown (marked with ***) is working, it is very slow progress. This is is statistically surprising as the number of people who have had infections has risen dramatically, now at least 3.5 million, and the same number vaccinated; that means that at least 10% (probably 15%) are immune? Therefore the stats above are actually more concerning. Or another way of looking at it is that actually this lockdown is markedly less effective than the previous 2. This is also interesting as schools were not totally shut in November/December. Yet the figures after lockdown 2 fell markedly.
Is it complacency or the new variety of Covid? I suspect both! I see more cars with 2 people in them, but as I have been nowhere for 3 months I am not really in a position to comment. And people cannot go to pubs/gyms etc.. I have not been in a supermarket since last February, but are rules observed?
