EDUCATION AND TAGS

however it raise another question – if TAGS are good enough this year why not abolish the exam system completely. Everyone knows it is flawed anyway and the cost savings to schools would be millions – my estimate for a large secondary is about £100.000 per annum if staffing costs are included. This saving could be used to upgrade moderation procedures and support teachers in making the grades. Seems very logical to me. It also makes Williamson and Johnson look like bigger clowns for initially insisting that the exams would go ahead.

Some of the money could also go to redress the attainment gap between the most advantaged and least advantaged students.
