Hopefully they will resurrect the “Think global, act local” motto that resonates even more today. It needs to encourage individual and local action rather than expect the Government to come up with anything realistic (other than ideas that line pockets!).
Ideas – a free quick and easy cookbook with recipes by the likes of Jamie and co. I am sure they would like the publicity. Not totally veggie, but maybe with scaled down portions and ideas for alternatives. Spell out the savings energy wise from a one minute shorter shower, or turning the thermostat down one degree. Encouraging walking to school. Sharing we do not all need an electric drill, a lawn mower used once a fortnight, and similar with kitchen equipment.
There must be lots of Green Party supporters, if not members, who have IT skills that could benefit local communities. I delivered a load of leaflets for the Green Party in the summer but no thank you or follow up – rubbish. Keep it local and they stand a chance as the National partisan are spiralling out of control.
