These are the people who wish to force their own warped views on the rest of society. In this I include politicians who insist they ate speaking ‘for the majority of British people’. This does tend to be on the Government side to justify bad and unreasonable policies!
Back to flags! Braverman has issued instructios to police forces outlining that the waving of a Palestinian flag is illegal. (I think thisi is what was reported in the paper a couple of days ago). This where our politicans seem to get confused. The Hamas flag is not the Hamas flag. Hamas is not the Palestinian people, indedd they took over in a military coup in 2006 (I think)). The same confusion seems to be perpetuated by government regarding Israel. Being anti-Israel is anti-semetic per se. Even though the state is a Jewish one. Indeed there are many Israelis who are Palestine, christian, muslim, hide, buddhist, etc. Criticisms of the Israeli state led by Netanyahu are not anti-semetic per se. I may have friends who are Jewish – I have no idea. That is how it should be! I am totally against the state of Israel for the atrocities it has carried out almost daily against Gaza and those in the West Bank.
Which in my strange brain brings me onto the royal family in the UK! having seen the power weilded by Presidents from Netanyahu and Putin amongst others I guess we should be proud of our ineffectual and bumbling king. So maybe I should be lless of a republican – if only they would do without the huge wealth and act with a little more humility! But we should be thankful that people like Johnson and Truss have not had the power that these despots seem to wield.
