My argument would be just how much English, Maths and Science do kids need? For sure there should be basic levels of competence in these areas, but not taking up 50% or more of the curriculum. I love the scientists who develop the vaccine for Covid, and the mathematicians who help develop them, and the use of language is integral to this.

But I also love the designer of an electric car, the artist who designs a practical spoon (I have my favourites!). And especially the musicians who let me relax. But lets not forget the garden and the kitchen as being key classrooms for growing up. Obviously the garden is out of grounds for millions (so schools need to step in), and the same with kitchens.
