- Long-tailed tit., What a gorgeous little bird which hangs around in family groups.
- Robin. Just so brave or is it its in your face affrontry? And its lovely voice.
- Blackbird. I debated this – lovely voice, very smart and the one which was nicking my raspberries, rather clever impersonation of a hummingbird.
- Kingfisher. OK I should not be swayed by the glamour of its finery, but who ever forgets the first time they see this halcyon bird.
- Barn Owl. I was debating which bird of prey to chose – but the way the barn owl makes ones senses confused – I watch it and know I cannot hear it.
- Skylark. I guess most people today are not fortunate enough to. have heard a skylark.
