I think we all need to know more about the jet stream! Just reporting the weather is not enough – we need explanations of the impacts of ice melt in Greenland, glacier melt across the world. I am fairly sure there are no models that can predict the jet stream with any great accuracy – this article is quite good.
Weather and climate have been key in the development of historical events, civilisations growth and decline. And more pertinately, to peoples economic and social well being.
