NEGLECTED

My list – plenty of talk about green energy but little action. I was hoping for big investments in both conservation and production of energy.

Money laundering through the City of London.

Taxation changes. An thought here, High Street firms are going bust, and the loss of business rates is hitting councils hard. Why not scrap the business rate completely and increase VAT on all transactions in the UK, or find another way to charge the likes of Amazon, Apple, etc. Thus all vendors would be charged the same for selling goods rather than production? I am not sure how this would work regarding supermarkets and small food traders, but am sure it could be tinkered with.

Education – exam system needed complete overhaul. I am out of touch with apprenticeships, but would suggest they need to be increased. The advantages of Public Schools should be examined. It has become blatantly obvious that whilst public schools enable students to get better grades, it does not make them nicer people, or cleverer (just better at passing the exams and having more confidence to bullshit).
