STRAWS

A recent poll showed that only on defence did Truss score above 25% (28) whilst Starmer still beat her with 30% saying he would be the best. So she does reasonably well in an area where she has done nothing!

The BBC will probably send out teams of reporters to find those die first Tories in the pursuit of balance – No BBC – 70% of all interviews should be with non-tory voters and none with Farage who is not representing any party. Or is the BBC as frightened of the Government as King Charles III?

Someone buying a house for £200000 (mortgage £180000) will have to pay £960 a year more due to interest rate rises. Add on the £1200 energy bill hike and food inflation at 10% (average food bill is £2368 per year 10% = £236 extra per person). So the rough calculation is about £2700 extra this year on last year per household (2 people)., less £400 energy rebate and a few quid from tax reduction. That is without increased petrol costs, and increased prices on everything else. Any pay rise below 10% is ridiculous.

There will be a lot of people struggling to survive this winter.
