Now the Police are saying that if stopped by a policeman you should ensure their authenticity, and if unsure wave a bus down! How unbelievable is this? They also say you should check on the police persons radio – Oh how much fun could be had here. Not conducive to efficient policing. Round here on some A roads one could wait a week for a bus!

Maybe the Army, when they have finished delivering fuel, could patrol the streets? The stats are horrendous. 10775 cases of exposure and voyeurism with 594 prosecutions and 435 guilty verdicts in the war to March 2020. Are there that many weirdos around? In itself concerning, maybe they thought theirs was worthy of exposure? And 1 in 18 cases being prosecuted? Can anyone explain why the prosecutions are so low? And these are just the police numbers – ONS reports 113000 cases of indecent exposure last year. I think I might need to move somewhere with ‘normal people’.
The Police would like to state that Everard’s murder was a complete exception. However records show that 129 women have approached the Centre for Womans Justice with claims of being raped beaten or coerced by police officer spouses or partners in the last 2 years. Basically when stopped by a policeMAN there is at least a one in 4000 chance that he has acted in a mysogonistic way in the last 2 years, and we have not mentioned racism and homophobia or islamaphobia.
It seems like the whole culture of police being a “group of lads” needs addressing – and fast. Their shiny cars and workload ensure that they spend virtually no time in normal society. They need to be seen more in society. My oft repeated part solution would be for on duty police to not stop at McDonalds or whatever for lunch, etc. but nip into a school canteen for lunch, or college/uni later for a snack. Free for them of course, but it would enable discussions with students. Other work canteens could provide a similar service – little cost and a better society!
I would love to go back to the “Ask a policeman/policewoman days”. Police, teachers, doctors need and must be at the highest levels of propriety. With the numbers of woman being killed daily this needs sorting NOW.
And with shortages looming this winter the thugs and the bullies will need policing.
