At least I will not have to water the garden for a couple of weeks – mints seem to love this weather. The grouse season is being postponed in some areas due to a lack to innocent feathered creatures to shoot! I am sure one day we will see the ‘Glorious Twelth’ as an anachronism of our times like fox hunting. Just think of the benefits to the population in general if the moors were opened up for wildlife and tourism. Flood prevention measures would also be massively improved.
