MINK – COVID-19

Denmark to cull 17 million mink. Why are they breeding them ing the first place – I thought animal skin coats, etc. were banned in the EU? It is time to re-evaluate our relationship with animals. I am not suggesting vegan, but certainly a more respectful relationship. Eat less meat and dairy (ouch that hurts!), but totally essential. Schools should be teaching cooking to all students, with emphasis on techniques.

PROBLEMS AND MISTAKES

Prime Ministers QT is so predictable. Johnson replies do not address the question, then at the end he whines that the opposition is not supporting him. This typifies the self-entitlement he and many other tories have. Their whole life has been one of entitlement and self-gratification. They cannot negotiate or compromise because they are right. Only those who agree with them can be listened to – thus the problems and mistakes.

SUNDAY 1 NOVEMBER 2020

A Sunday ramble. The weather is wet and mild and a bit breezy. Just deciding what to do with diced lamb. I think a quick marinade in harissa and some flat bread with tomato and courgette? and onion and sweet peppers, or maybe a veggie sauce with dried mushrooms, garlic and marmite?

Bank Managers

Bank Manager.  Mr.Parish you have gone over your overdraft limit.  Yes but you are charging me loads for it.  But you did not ask.  Well I did not want to, but 2 kids and whatever.  Mr.Parish – you would not like it if I came and took your TV without asking.  Well I might if we had one, which we do not!  But if I took your washing machine,   nope, not got one of those either.  Well your car – nope, not got one.  Well if I came to stay at your house – well sir I am sure we would sort something out for you!  In retrospect I f**king love this story!

COVID

I am bored with Covid, but the nonsense being spouted is just so annoying. Rich M.P’s complaining about possible restrictions over Xmas. Of course they will be ok in their large houses and gardens. They will probably want flashy restaurants to open too, pleading the economy as an excuse. It is the poor who will bear the brunt as usual. Confined to small flats and terraced houses where the virus can spread rapidly. Some are talking about an amnesty for Xmas Day and Boxing Day. This is a joke I hope?

Sunday 25 October 2020

I have planted some bulbs, cooked some chick peas, not decided on dinner yet. What do the papers say today, what riveting news and humour is there on this Sunday (I had completely forgotten about clocks changing, but then it makes no difference to me).
