Thins! Wow!

I make lots of crap stuff, but occasionally I get it spot on. And no measurements of key ingredients. I have some chillies, some hot, some not, a handful of rosemary leaves, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt and whizz. then 100gm of flour and 100gm cheddar, and 100g butter. Mix and make into a sausage and freeze for 45/60 minutes. Slice thinly. Oven 180C for 15 minutes or whatever! Good.

I am not sure what variety of apple I have, it is sort of half way between eater and cooker, and good for both! It is also late, another month I think. So whilst I did have a raspberry and apple stewed fruit with some windfalls yesterday I am going to collect apple recipes here.

Breakfast tomorrow

I get up at stupid o’clock and sort out the papers for the local shop by 6.30. So having done a Waitrose shop (I don’t care – I am middle class!), tomorrow I an going to treat myself to wholemeal sourdough toast with smoked salmon and avocado with a dash of lemon juice – maybe even a dash of chilli sauce to jerk me into consciousness and the day!

Pickled chillies

I have not done this before so comments welcome. My red chillies are a roulette – most not hot at all, but some are a bit; my green ones (well I only tried one before drinking half a litre of milk and my mouth being numb for 5 minutes) seem to be hot! So the recipe –

Chillies

I have lots of pretty red ones which are not hot at all. However I just had a quick bite off the end of a green one from a different plant. Eyes watering, half a pint of milk, lips numb! Wow!
