The world’s greatest river, and one without a road bridge. Stop it – not that Amazon! The company that has destroyed the High Street and hundred of thousands of jobs. OK so it has created lots too (minimum wage and poor labour conditions and no trade unions. This last bit is the killer for a tory government who have a pathological hatred of workers rights versus wealth creation. It is easy to sort it out.

THE JET STREAM
It is a high altitude (10km), high speed (180kmph+), wind caused by the differences in temperature between the tropics and the polar regions (Well our jet stream is – I am trying to keep it simple). The polar jet stream (ours) loops around the upper part of the northern hemisphere in a variable path. Sometimes it is fairly straight and therefore faster, other times it meanders around lots.
LA NINA
This is an oceanic/atmospheric phenomenon that is building in the eastern tropical Pacific Ocean. Occurring every few years, sea surface temperatures are below normal, the trader winds stronger and an upwelling of colder water along the Pacific coast of South America occurs. These changes impact on global atmospheric circulation. We can expect increased storms and rainfall in Australia and South-east Asia, drought to the southern states of the USA, colder snowier winters in Canada. USA ELECTION
There are many things I do not understand! The American electoral system is one of the major ones (along with anything science!). last time Clinton got 3 million more votes than Trump and lost. Ok similar things happen in the UK. But it is like their system is built to deceive. Created in the 18th and 19th centuries it resembles the ‘rotten boroughs’ of Georgian England.
